I don't know if you've heard from my other blogs, but we have just found out we're having twins! How cool is that? The babies are still too young to find out if they're boys or girls, but we know that the things we have put aside from when Arthur was a baby will only serve one of them. If they'll girls, we'll have to buy lots of things, but if boys then we're half way there. Still, pretty exciting to think about the toys we'll be buying, the school uniforms and even the NCAA jerseys when they get a bit older.

I'm not really into jewellery

I've never really been too much into jewellery. You tend to see guys wearing gold chains, necklaces and all sorts of mens jewelry, but my wife even had to struggle to get me to wear a wedding ring. I'm actually used to it now, so I don't even notice it on most of the time; but it does annoy me when I type, so I have been known to take it off and keep it somewhere safe while I'm at work.

Maybe it's a guy thing, most girls I know don't seem to have a problem wearing jewellery, or maybe I'm just strange like that ;)

I find sites that expand your browser window to full screen really annoying. Especially direct line who then only use 1/3 of it!

Online Bank Accounts with all the trimmings

I've just signed up for a Tesco savings account recently, thanks to a great interest rate they were offering. I received all my details, and transferred some money in. It was only then that I found out I need a calculator like device to be able to withdraw some money. Now I don't normally have problems with two-factor authentication schemes, just that I wasn't expecting to have to order a device then spend two weeks waiting for it.

Anyway, it should be on it's way now. Will be nice to be able to get money out of my account, as well as put money in. Still a 5% interest rate in this climate isn't something to sniff at.

Internet everywhere

I've just been reading about how you can get satellite network access out in the desert. It centers around having the right equipment and being able to connect up to satellite internet. Coverage varies of course, but there are a number of places around the globe where you can get an Internet connection even if you're nowhere near a phone line.

It's great that you can get this sort of access nowadays; it used to be really hard to stay in touch, but nowadays there just isn't any excuse.

Hmm .. I'm not 100% sure I'm getting that my TwitterFeed setup is working as well as it should. I set it up for a work feed a couple of days ago and it's taking ages to catch up with the new RSS entries. I'm assuming of course that the feed is all right, because I can see it just fine in my other browser.

The thing is, that it's really a free service so one shouldn't really complain I guess. You can't really wear some fight gear and challenge one to a wrestling match when you're getting a free service. I wouldn't mind paying for this sort of thing though, because it's a service I'm quite happy with.

The web is a marvellous place where you can find anything your heart desires. But you do need to make sure you're searching in the right place, otherwise you'll never find what you're looking for. Your starting place usually should be Google, but you might need to use more specialised search engines if you're looking for something in a particular niche. For example, Froogle is a search engine for products so if you're shopping for something, it might be better to start there. Some things though may be harder to find. If you're looking for Polaris RZR parts for example, just stick with Google as it might be the best place to use.
